INFO

Kasi Hollowell was born in Abilene, Texas. While her stay was brief, it was there that the theatre seed was planted. Kasi's older sister began taking ballet classes and, even at the early age of three, when Kasi saw, with the rest of Abilene, her sister dance in the studio's production of Alice In Wonderland, she knew she wanted whatever that was. The very next year, she was put in ballet classes and fell in love with performing. Soon after that year, her family left Abilene for Burleson, Texas, a suburb of Ft. Worth, and with it, she left ballet. But her performing days were only beginning. School plays, workshops at Casa Manana, community theatre, anything Kasi could do to get back on a stage, she did it.

Flash forward to high school where her life was consumed by theatre, varsity choir, and the UIL competitions for both. The year after graduation, Kasi auditioned for Footloose at a little known theatre company in a neighboring city and was cast as Ariel Moore. This began a beautiful growing period in her profesional theatre career.

Full of educated, creative, and brilliant people, Plaza Theatre Company became a home away from home where Kasi learned the inner workings of a professional theatre company by simply being immersed in it.

After many wonderful experiences with Plaza and other companies in the Ft. Worth area, Kasi left to pursue her BFA in Musical Theatre at Sam Houston State University. She was cast as Mrs. Gibbs in her second semester in the classic play Our Town and has been involved in masterclasses and workshops with Debra McWaters and Broadway Theatre Project, Greg Graham, and Dave Clemmons. She made her professional Houston debut as Little Red Riding Hood in MainStreet Theatre's 2014 production of Into The Woods in Houston, TX. She has since performed for PMT Productions' Midtown Live and tick, tick...BOOM!. She has also voiced several characters for anime through Sentai and Seraphim Digital including Sayuri in Tamako Market, Luis Frois in The Ambition of Oda Nobuna, and Erika in Maid Sama!.

Kasi is looking forward to continuing her exploration of Houston theatre while she's here and is considering Houston, Dallas, Chicago, and New York in her post-graduation plans.
